Garment Care
All aspects of color in Forrest and Fauna garments are obtained from raw, natural sources, such as barks, roots, leaves and insects, just as cloth was colored hundreds of years ago. However in our modern day and age, different approaches to care and washing are needed to maintain quality and longevity of these clothes.
Although we wash and rinse the garments before they are delivered, we recommend for the first 1-2 washings that the clothing is cleaned by itself, as it is unlikely, but possible that some dye material may run--a simple hand washing is reccommmend.
Additional Care Instructions:
- Garments should be turned inside out during wash
- Use a cold wash on a delicate cycle with a mild detergent or wash by hand
- Tumble dry in low, but colors will remain richer over time if garments are laid flat or hung on a line to dry
- Do not bleach or dry clean as the chemicals used in dry cleaning will damage the dye colors
- Citrus juice/acid (such as orange or tomato) may discolor fabric
- Store garment away from direct sunlight as continuous exposure may cause some fading
